Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Tina Ho, talks about the lip ratio: “I prefer to see a one to two ratio. When you think about the upper to lower lip, as well as to maintain what is a considered a natural definition.”

“If you want a medium boost to your lip we can use a product such as Restylane Refyne. It provides a little more structure, a little more body,” says Aesthetic Nurse Brenda.

In regards to her technique, “I usually pursue only up to one syringe with their initial treatment for lip filler. At two weeks out when we evaluate the treatment results, if a patient does desire a little bit more definition, a little more volume, then we can consider adding an additional syringe of filler,” says the doctor.

Brenda says, “If you’re looking for a larger boost, you can use a product such as Juvederm Ultra Plus to achieve that.”
