Upper-Eyelid Surgery: Everything you need to know + Cassandra Shares Her Experience

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a permanent solution to getting rid of upper-eyelid skin? Maybe the skin is weighing down your eyes, or maybe you want to be able to see more of your eyeshadow. We can help! RMA is now offering Upper-Eyelid Blepharoplasty Surgery! This can be done in office, or under local anesthesia.

So, what exactly does this mean for you?

The eyes are the first features of the face to demonstrate signs of aging. Over time, the forces of gravity promote downward sagging of skin and soft tissues around the eyes, leading to excess eyelid skin and a “baggy eyes” appearance that can affect both the upper and lower eyelids. Depending on genetics, some patients may be prone to signs of eyelid aging as early as in their thirties. Blepharoplasty is a type of eyelid surgery intended to remove excess skin and fat to restore a youthful appearance to the eyes. This surgery requires the expertise of a surgeon who specializes in plastic surgery of the face.

We asked our Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Tina Ho, about her experience with Cassandra’s case:

“Cassandra was bothered by the heavy appearance of her upper eyelids, not remedied enough by her routine Botox treatments and most apparent when applying her eye makeup. On exam, she demonstrated moderate excess upper eyelid skin and was deemed to be an ideal candidate for upper blepharoplasty. Surgery was performed under local anesthesia as an in-office procedure,” says Dr. Tina Ho.

When asked about client experience and results, the doctor said, “Cassandra did great and has healed beautifully! Her incisions are already almost imperceptible at two months out from surgery. I am so thrilled with Cassandra’s surgical results and that she trusted her face in me.”

Cassandra’s Experience

“Hi, my name is Cassandra and I visited Rejuvenation Medical Aesthetics for my eyelid surgery. The doctor was really great in explaining to me how the whole procedure would work. I came in for a consultation first, then I came back for the actual procedure. We did it in her office.”

“I had numbing around my eyelids, and honestly, for the work that was done, I didn’t really feel the pain at all. I was comfortable, she walked me through every step. There was an assistant there also that helped me through the process. It was very meticulous work but the doctor did a great job with all of that.”

“She followed up that night, the next day, the next couple days to make sure that I was doing well and healing properly.”

“So, when you get rid of that extra skin on your eyelid, it makes a huge difference to make you look younger, more awake, and you can put on your makeup easier.”

“I definitely am glad that I did the procedure, it made a huge difference and I really feel like it turned the clock back probably 5-10 years on my eyes.”

The doctor will be available for a virtual consultation on Wednesdays and Fridays in April from 10am to 1pm. If you would like to book a virtual consultation with Rejuvenation Medical Aesthetics, call us at (267) 759-6056.
