The Perfect Peel for your Skin Type

Chemical Peel model

Are you looking to take your skincare routine to the next level? Are those over-the-counter moisturizers just not doing the trick for you? Or maybe you’ve tried just about everything to get that glowy, clear skin celebrities are showing off. You probably need a chemical peel treatment, and you’re in the right place! Rejuvenation Medical Aesthetics has the perfect chemical peel treatments customized just for you.

Chemical face peels involve applying a solution to the face which exfoliates the top layer of dead skin, exposing a fresh, healthy layer. Think of it as rejuvenation-an exfoliation and restorative treatment to refresh the appearance of your skin.

The benefits of a chemical peel are endless-not only does it exfoliate dead skin, but it also minimizes fine lines, unclogs pores, and evens your skin tone, leaving your skin feeling refreshed and glowing.

At Rejuvenation Medical Aesthetics, we offer a variety of peels along with custom peels. We customize each treatment to meet your skincare needs based on your skin type.

Oily/Acneic

Summer is coming and that oh-so-dreaded greasy appearance could be approaching. Keep your skin under control with a salicylic acid peel.

This type of peel involves a beta hydroxy acid that unclogs your pores.

The purpose of the peel aims to dry out oily skin and make it appear less acneic.

If you are looking for an at-home treatment, we also offer the PCA Detoxifying Mask, which compliments this treatment.

Dry/Sensitive

For this skin type, our aesthetician will help you get rid of those unwanted dry, dead skin layers. We recommend a glycolic peel and a lactic acid peel.

We also offer dermaplaning, which is a physical exfoliation eliminating dead skin. This treatment in combination with any peel or HydraFacial is a wonderful way to jump start and get your skin ready for the summer.

Care after this peel would be to continue using a moisturizer or our PCA Hyaluronic Acid. We also offer a rich, luxurious moisturizer which also provides anti-aging benefits-PCA Hydraluxe. In addition, you could use a retinol to help brighten and even your skin tone, like ZO Brightenex.

Aging/Sun-Damaged

For skin that may be damaged by the sun, or skin that is beginning to age, our PCA peel with hydroquinone would be ideal. This peel concentrates on the pigment of your skin, and it addresses discoloration concerns like sun spots and age spots.

If you have this skin type, it is important to practice good self-care, and also staying hydrated by drinking lots of water.

You should also ALWAYS wear sunscreen every day. We offer Elta MD Daily Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Tinted and Non-Tinted Sunscreen.

We recommend to continue moisturizing your skin with our PCA Hydraluxe, which also provides anti-aging benefits.

At home, you can use our PCA pigment gel or PCA pigment bar in addition to your treatment.

Post-peel, there is no official downtime, but you may find that you have minimal peeling, which is just that dead skin making room for new, rejuvenated skin.

Days 1 & 2 after peel: Your skin will begin to feel tight
Days 4-6 after peel: You skin may be dry, flaking and/or peeling.
Day 7 and thereafter: Your face will be glowing!

Disclaimer: Not to worry this is not severe, and any of this can be covered with makeup!

For optimal results, our aesthetician Bobbi recommends receiving three to six peel treatments, four to six weeks apart, although this may differ on a case-to-case basis.

Now is the perfect time to prepare and protect your skin for summer!
